DuEwa Frazier, Ed.D.,M.F.A. is an award-winning poet, children's/YA author, speaker, educator, and digital creator. DuEwa has been honored with a Mayor's Proclamation in St. Louis, grant award and writer-in-residency from the University City Arts and Letters Commission, grants from Poets & Writers, a Black Caucus of ALA Conference Presenter Award, Writers Digest Publishing Awards honorable mention, and NAACP Image Award nomination (Outstanding Literary Work - Poetry). She received a writing fellowship from the Martha's Vineyard Creative Writing Institute and a writer's scholarship from Grub Street in 2021. DuEwa was a featured TEDx speaker in 2019 for her talk "Word is Bond," an education themed talk to inspired teachers to use hip hop arts and scholarship in the classroom. She has been a featured presenter, poet, or panelist at NCTE annual conference, CLA annual, AWP annual, CCCC annual, Temple University (Sisters Defining Sisters Conference), Kelly Writer's House (U. of Penn), Center for Black Literature National Writer's Conference, West Virginia Wesleyan College, BCALA annual conference, and others. DuEwa is the author of a children's book, Alice's Musical Debut (2019), a middle grade novel, Quincy Rules (2016) and a young adult novel Deanne in the Middle (2014). Deanne in the Middle was a national pick for young readers from NBCDI (National Black Child Development Institute). Deanne in the Middle was featured in a Book Riot article. DuEwa is also the author of several books of poetry, including Goddess Under the Bridge: Poems (2013). DuEwa has written children's content for Rocket Learning and McGraw Hill Educational Publishers. DuEwa is the editor of the NAACP Image Award nominated, Check the Rhyme: An Anthology of Female Poets & Emcees (2006). Her poetry has been published in Arlington Literary Journal, Water Poetry MagazineCrossing the Divide Anthology, Eleven Eleven Literary Journal (CCA), Drumvoices Revue (SIUE), Poetry Ink Anthology, Signifyin' Harlem, Poetry in Performance (CUNY), Black Renaissance Noire (NYU), Tidal Basin Review, Split This Rock, Essence Magazine, Black Powerful: Black Voices Reimagine Revolution (2022, McSweeney's), and others. Her forthcoming edited volume, Introduction to Afrofuturism: A Mixtape in Black Literature & Arts is forthcoming from Routledge in Summer 2024.

DuEwa has been profiled in Rolling Out, SpokenVizions, St. Louis American, and other publications. She is the Host/ "Nerd-in-Chief" of Nerdacity a podcast - featuring author interviews and cultural commentary. DuEwa is also a published scholar whose research features in several edited volumes.
