On Friday, November 16th, DuEwa Frazier released CRUNK DEBUTANTE, a new web series. DuEwa is the writer and producer for the film project. She also acts in the series, playing the character Delilah "Dee" Franklin, an artist who returns home to St. Louis from Brooklyn. The series will feature in episodes centered around Delilah's transition as a Brooklyn boho to Midwest transplant. Delilah reconnects with old friends and will grapple with how to complete a creative project she began in New York. Actor Sherard Curry plays opposite of DuEwa as Delilah's childhood friend, "Terrance."
DuEwa is excited to show her capabilities in writing and producing for film. She is also excited to return to acting. The last project she was in was the short sci-fi film "Passengers of 7D" in 2011 (New York) which earned DuEwa her first IMDb credit. DuEwa was also in the play "Ice Floes" playing the lead female "Eunice" at the Looking Glass Theater in New York City.
DuEwa had a release party and screening for CRUNK DEBUTANTE on Friday, November 16th at Jay's Classic Bar & Grill in St. Louis where friends, family, and fellow actors were in attendance. The event was DJ'd by Darnell "Dj De'Wu" Ivery (who also plays the "Waiter" in episode 1 of the series).
